Foresters in action 2013

Monday, January 06, 2014

We'd like to say a big thank you to our staff and members for all the charity work they've been involved in this year and we're delighted we've been able to get involved with some of it. We thought we should celebrate what's been going on up and down the country, so here are some of the highlights of what we got up to in 2013.

London Marathon 2013

Marathon achievement!

Daniel Savory, a member of the Watford branch, completed the London Marathon in April.

Daniel, aged 34, only took up running two years ago and this is the first full marathon he has taken part in. Thanks to generous donations from his Foresters branch, Foresters members and others, Daniel managed to double his fundraising goal and raise just over £1,000 for Dyslexia Research Trust and Mind. Many congratulations to Daniel on this fantastic achievement.
