Foresters Friendly Society, the Southampton-based member-owned mutual society, today announces that from 9th June 2014 Sense will be the chosen charity for the Society's annual President's Appeal. Each year members of the Society raise money through the Foresters branch network which organises fundraising events and other initiatives to support the annual Appeal.
Sense is a national charity that supports and campaigns for children and adults who are deafblind. Sense offers high-quality, flexible services across the UK, using skilled staff and a dedicated network of volunteers. They work with a wide range of deafblind and multi-sensory impaired people, as well as those who have a single-sensory impairment with additional needs. They take pride in offering specialist services built around the wishes of each person they support and enabling them to be as independent as possible.*
Sally Waterfield, Head of Marketing at Foresters Friendly Society, said: "Sense is a fantastic charity that we are extremely proud to be supporting and I am sure we will get a wonderful response from our members. Sense is committed to supporting adults and children throughout the UK with dual sight and hearing loss."
