Archery GB Mel ClarkeFollowing a very successful three years as official Performance Partner of Archery GB, which included the period during the London Olympics and Paralympics, Foresters Friendly Society has signed up for another three years, taking its sponsorship beyond the Rio Olympics in 2016.

The sponsorship cements Foresters commitment to Archery at all levels. From helping with grassroots initiatives such as The Big Weekend, to supporting elite archers at Archery GB performance centre at Lilleshall.

David Sherratt, CEO of Archery GB commented:

"We are very pleased that Foresters Friendly Society has signed for another three years. The sport continues to evolve at a pace and we are very pleased that Foresters is continuing on the journey with us. This year alone, we have launched our three regional performance academies, delivered a successful National Series Finals, and The Big Weekend mass participation archery event that has grown year on year."

The sponsorship extension will see Foresters continuing to work closely with the governing body to deliver elite archers with podium potential and drive participation in the sport.

Neil Armitage, marketing director at Foresters Friendly Society added:

"We are proud to renew our association with Archery GB. We enjoyed a fantastic three years and look forward to another three year partnership. We will continue to add value to the sport and look forward to bringing the sponsorship to life for our members."

The synergy between Foresters Friendly Society and Archery goes back to when the Society was founded in 1834 as the Ancient Order of Foresters. Today, Foresters Friendly Society's logo still features a bow and arrow.

The three year sponsorship sees Foresters Friendly Society retain its title of Official Performance Partner of Archery GB.
