There's so much to being a Member of Foresters Friendly Society
You get much more than just a financial product when you take out one of our policies. You'll automatically become a Member of Foresters Friendly Society and have access to our unique range of valuable benefits.
Being a mutual society means we're owned by our 70,000 Members and don't have any shareholders to answer to - any profit we make is retained for the benefit of our Members.
Our friendly society is built on a foundation of caring principles. It's something we take very seriously, so we go further to look after our Members. You can find out more about our range of thoughtful benefits below.
- Enjoy exclusive savings and discountsWe've joined forces with mywebclub to provide our Members with a whole new online shopping experience. mywebclub gives you discounts with some of the UK's most recognised retailers, including Marks & Spencer, HMV, Early Learning Centre, B&Q and Thomas Cook. mywebclub is not available to the general public; and as the club grows so will the list of retailers and offers for our Members.
- Financial help when you need it mostHelp is on hand for Members who need financial assistance in special circumstances. Once you've been a Member for six months you can apply to your local branch for one of our discretionary grants (these include grants from our hardship and educational funds). For example, recently we were able to offer help to Members affected by floods; we also give grants to Members entering higher education or training for an apprenticeship.
- Get involved in social and community eventsThrough your Membership you can join one of our 250 regional branches and enjoy a number of activities, including coffee mornings, ten pin bowling, theatre outings, dinner-dances and charity fundraising (and there's much more).
- Dedicated support for illness or
disabilityWe all know somebody who has been diagnosed
with a serious health condition. Usually the treatment received is
first class but often the practical help and emotional support
needed by the individual and their family can be missing. The focus
is on treating the disease and there is no time or resource left to
provide much needed support throughout what can be a traumatic
journey.
Any Member struggling with a serious health condition, or diagnosed with one in the future can use Foresters Care.
You will have access to your own personal nurse adviser who will be there for you to provide practical information and emotional support for as long as you need it. This is a confidential and free service.
You will be able to access a specialist nurse to answer your questions, or it may be more helpful for them to arrange a course of therapy or counselling for you from a qualified professional, alongside access to specialist organisations, helplines, or local support groups. In this way you will have support every step of the way.

ProbateForesters Membership entitles you to use a
discounted Wills and Probate service provided by Final Duties.
Final Duties was set up by Adam Walker shortly after the death of
his father. Having experienced the costs of obtaining Probate,
as well as solicitors' reluctance to provide accurate fixed-fee
quotations, Adam saw the need for a service that co-ordinates the
activities involved in resolving a deceased person's affairs. We
think you'll find Adam's wealth of knowledge on this matter a great
support.
You can find further information and post questions about this topic in Adam's Wills and Probate Forum on Foresters Friends. - Convalescent homes respiteOur discretionary convalescent home respite assists Members recuperating after long or short illnesses. It includes staying in a convalescent home free of charge for up to two weeks in any two-year period. Foresters Friendly Society supports a convalescent home in Bridlington, Yorkshire, which has been used by thousands of our Members to rest, recuperate and recover their strength.
