Over 50s Life Insurance: 50+ Life Cover
Affordable over 50s life insurance with no medical and
guaranteed acceptance
Give your loved ones financial support through our whole of life
insurance policy which provides a guaranteed cash lump sum paid out
after your death. Our over 50s life insurance gives everyone
more control, as you're allowed to name a beneficiary to receive up
to £5,000 immediately after your death without the need to wait for
Probate which can be a lengthy process. There's no medical
and we won't ask any health questions either. Plus your
premium is fixed and will never increase, so you know exactly where
you stand and to reduce the possibility of you over-paying into the
policy we automatically stop your premiums when you reach age 90,
but your life cover still continues.
Guaranteed cash pay-out when you die
|
- This guaranteed lump sum could help towards funeral expenses or
any outstanding debts you leave behind, or form a small legacy in
your Will.
- It's important to make sure you choose a benefit level that
will realistically help your dependants when you're no longer
around. Remember that inflation will reduce what can be
bought in the future with the sum assured.
- Please bear in mind that if you should die during the first two
years of the policy, payouts are limited to the return of premiums
- other than in the case of accidental death.
- When your premiums cease at age 90, your basic sum assured and
any bonuses added will remain in place and will continue to be paid
out on your death.
- If you stop paying premiums before you reach 90 the life cover
will cease immediately. It also has no cash-in value for the
first two years. After two years you can cash in your policy,
but the value of it is unlikely to be as much as you have paid
in. Alternatively, after two years, you can apply for a
paid-up policy with reduced benefits.
- Please remember that this is not a funeral plan and there is no
guarantee that the amount received would cover the costs of a
funeral.
|
Bonuses could be added to the cash payout (sometimes
called the basic sum assured)
|
- We aim to add to the value of your guaranteed basic sum assured
payable on death by adding annual bonuses, with a possible
additional bonus paid at the time of death.
- Your entitlement to future bonuses will continue beyond age 90
even though you have stopped paying premiums. Our aim is to
continue to increase the final cash sum paid to your
dependents.
- It's important to note that any bonuses added to your policy's
value cannot be taken away and become part of your guaranteed
return.
- The addition of bonuses is not guaranteed and will depend on
the performance of our With Profits Fund and how we decide to
distribute any profit. For more detailed information on how we
manage the fund see ' How
you share in the profits of Foresters Friendly Society'.
|
Guaranteed acceptance - no medical
required
|
- You won't be asked any health-related questions or need a
medical (even if you've had cancer or suffered a stroke), and no
evidence of earnings is required either.
- Our over 50s life insurance is only available to UK residents
aged between 50 and 80 years.
|
From just 36p a day
|
- It's remarkably affordable, with a fixed premium based on your
age and gender.
- You stop paying premiums at age 90 to reduce the possibility of
over-paying into the policy.
- Depending on how long you live, the total premiums paid may be
greater than the amount payable on death. You must continue to pay
the premiums to maintain the cover.
- See how much cover you can get for your monthly premium here.
- Please remember that inflation will reduce what can be bought
in the future with the sum assured.
