The Ancient Order of Foresters Friendly Society Limited ("we", "us",  "the Society") is registered under the Data Protection Act 1998 ("the Act").  In accordance with the Act, we are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy and to manage and use any personal information that you provide to us in accordance with the Act.

How We Use It

To provide you with the services requested by you and to process your registration as a member of the Society, we need to know various personal information including your name, postal address, e-mail address and telephone number.  Depending on the product that we are providing to you, we also need to know other information, such as financial information and/or information regarding your health.

The relevant information is then used by us, our agents and sub-contractors for the following purposes:

  • To provide you with statements of your account as required, and to communicate with you on any matter relating to the provision of any service to you.
  • To provide you with information, products or services that you request from us or which we feel may be of interest to you, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes.
  • We may use your data, or permit selected third parties to use your data, to provide you with information about goods and services which we think may be of interest to you.

Our internal procedures cover the storage, access and disclosure of your information.  All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. We endeavour to abide by the principles of the Data Protection Act by ensuring that we do not hold any information that we do not need and for any longer than necessary. Any payment transactions will be. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure.  Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk.

Once we have received your personal information, we will use specific procedures and security features to try and prevent unauthorised access.
