The Sickness Policy is designed for people (aged 20 to 59) who are either self-employed or have limited or no sickness benefit from their employer. It pays a regular benefit if you are off work due to sickness or injury.

- Fast payout of between £100 to £400 a week when you most need it Subject to receipt of a satisfactory doctor's note and a completed claim form we will endeavour to pay your claim within 5 working days. You choose your weekly benefit level of £100, £200, £300 or £400.
- Keeps paying out for up to 52 weeks during periods of sickness or injury You can choose a benefit period of either 26 or 52 weeks at the outset of your policy. The premium you pay and benefit period you need will be reflected accordingly.

This is the period from commencement of sickness/injury for which no benefit is payable. The deferred period can be either 1 or 4 weeks. The deferred period is chosen at the outset of the policy and cannot be amended.
- Current tax legislation means that the benefits from this policy are paid free of tax and National Insurance contributions Your weekly benefit of either £100, £200, £300 or £400 is paid directly to you for the period indicated on your doctor's note subject to our acceptance of your claim.
