For our 24/25 Annual Charity Appeal, we’re supporting The Rivers Trust!

Healthy rivers are a powerful ally in mitigating the effects of climate change; they can protect communities from flood and drought events, and they bolster ecosystem and biodiversity resilience. We need our rivers, and they need us.

Unfortunately, the majority of our rivers in the UK & Ireland are far from healthy. Our vital rivers are plagued by sewage, chemical, nutrient and plastic pollution. A recent report from The Rivers Trust shows that:

- No single stretch of river in England or Northern Ireland is in good overall health
- Toxic chemicals that remain in ecosystems for decades pollute every stretch of English rivers

We’re supporting The Rivers Trust, and you can help too!

Whether you can’t wait to get your hands dirty while cleaning up rivers, or you’d rather support the charity from the comfort of your own home, there are lots of ways you can get involved.
