Foresters Care receives outstanding patient results in the annual 2021 survey

Foresters Friendly Society have announced that in the annual 2021 patient survey, 100% of its members that responded, rated the service provided by Foresters Care as Good or Excellent overall. As a member focused organisation, the Society provides a number of member benefits to support its members when they need it most.

Working alongside the vastly experienced RedArc, Foresters Care has provided support for many Foresters members through serious and long-term physical and mental illnesses, trauma, eldercare and bereavement, through all life stages.

Foresters Care is a source of practical advice and emotional support from highly experienced registered nurses. The same personal nurse advisor will provide telephone support to members on a long-term basis, providing important continuity. They can also help you to utilise the services available through the NHS, specialist charities and social services. If you are uncertain about a diagnosis, they are also able to arrange a second medical opinion so you can get the treatment that you need.

Here’s what some of the Society’s members had to say about the service:

  • “There are no words which would fully express my nurse advisor’s excellence. Without her, I don’t know what I would have done. Her support was amazing, and she is so understanding, I call her my guardian angel. I can’t thank both my nurse and Foresters enough…”
  • “Being a nurse myself, I know what it takes to be a good nurse. My RedArc Nurse has been an amazing support. Over the time speaking with her, she has been a fountain of knowledge and information. I look forward to our chats and always feel better for having spoken with her.”
  • “The service has been first class and has really helped me both physically and most definitely mentally. The initial and ongoing support I have received has been outstanding. Thank you.”

Laura Allcock, Court Communications Officer for Foresters Friendly Society commented: “We understand that during times of illness or stress, it’s so important to feel that you can talk to someone who will listen. That’s why we’re delighted that 100% of Foresters members that responded, felt that they were being listened to and found the nurses empathetic and sympathetic throughout the course of their call. As a member focused organisation, we are committed to supporting our members and we are thrilled that the Foresters Care service is having a positive impact on their lives.”
