Don't just take our word for it…

Orthopedic Support

Pam contacted Foresters Care following a nasty fall where she sustained fractures to both wrists. After surgery on her right wrist Pam was given a splint to wear and a sheet of exercises to do, without any instruction or guidance.

As a driver, Pam couldn’t work. She wasn’t offered any face-to-face physiotherapy to help with her recovery, and Pam felt frustrated and helpless.

RedArc assigned Julie, an experienced, registered nurse who carried out a clinical assessment with Pam and regular one-to-one phone calls.

Her RedArc Nurse provided emotional support and practical advice to support Pam’s recovery both physically and emotionally. She advised on pain relief and researched a therapist with the expertise needed for treatment and to formulate a plan. The nurse also arranged a course of therapy with the identified therapist which commenced within a few days.

Pam was called regularly by her nurse to see how she was progressing and within a couple of months, Pam completed her course of physiotherapy and said the therapist was ‘brilliant’.  Pam had a follow-up with her surgeon and was discharged. She was able to return to her work as a driver and had full dexterity in her hands.

Pam said she doesn’t think she would have made such good progress without the physiotherapist and was very appreciative of the input of her dedicated RedArc Nurse, Julie. Pam said that her experience of RedArc was “brilliant, fast and caring.”
