Foresters Friendly Society appoints Internal Investment Manager

Foresters Friendly Society has completed the selection process for an internal Investment Manager with the appointment of Grant MacKenzie to the role, following the previous appointment of Corrado Pistarino as Chief Investment Officer.
The internal Investment Manager role is another new position at Foresters Friendly Society and one that continues to enhance the Board’s strategy to strengthen its investment expertise, risk management and new product offering for current and future members. Grant will manage the new internal Investment Management team, working closely with the Society’s external securities and property managers to streamline processes and build a scalable offering to match the Society’s ambitions.
Grant MacKenzie has more than 30 years’ experience in financial markets. Prior to joining Foresters Friendly Society, he was Head of Securities Lending Trading at HSBC Securities Services, responsible for over £200bn of lendable assets. While at HSBC, he was responsible for revenue generation from multiple trading locations, relationship management with leading global investment banks and was the business lead on the implementation of a new trading platform. His previous employers include BZW and Midland Bank.
Grant brings a wealth of experience to the Society and will work closely with the Chief Investment Officer and Finance Director to deliver an enhanced investment oversight.
