Foresters Friendly Society launches dedicated adviser portal

Monday, August 23, 2010

Foresters Friendly Society today announces the launch of a new IFA portal, , with the aim of driving growth in its intermediary market business.

The portal has been designed to give advisers secure online access to the Society's full product literature including information on their Tax Exempt Savings Plans, over 50s Life Insurance, Individual Savings Account and Children's Tax Exempt Savings Plan. Importantly, the portal will enable advisers to create and download personal illustrations for their clients and to submit new business online.

Those advisers who are pre-registered with Foresters Friendly Society and have completed the Society's Terms of Business Agreement will have their account automatically created and ready for use.

The development comes as the Society looks to develop and harness its relationship with advisers at a time when recent research* suggests that two-thirds of advisers view a secure communication portal as an asset which would allow them to offer an enhanced service to their clients. Moreover, almost half (46 per cent) of the advisers interviewed said that it was a means to save time and money.

Neil Armitage, Marketing Director, Foresters Friendly Society, said: "In developing this portal we are underlining our commitment and success with our adviser relationships. Building awareness and uptake of our financial services products in the intermediary market is an essential part of our plan for the Society's continued organic growth."

Neil Armitage continued: "With the Retail Distribution Review approaching, advisers need to be able to offer products from providers who inspire trust and have a long tradition of treating their customers fairly. As such we can improve advisors' knowledge of mutuals."

"We are ideally placed to help IFAs satisfy this demand by offering transparent, straightforward products at a fair price. The additional support our policyholders enjoy from our participative social network and access to additional discretionary benefits, both financial and non-financial, gives our products a unique proposition for advisers to offer their clients."
