Foresters Friendly Society partner with UK Air Ambulances as charity of the year

Foresters Friendly Society, the Southampton-based member-owned mutual society, have chosen to support the Association of Air Ambulances Charity (AAAC) as their Charity of the Year for the 2017/18 period. Launched on 26th June, the partnership will run until next year’s Annual General Meeting and support the UK’s Air Ambulance Charities. A number of products such as calendars, pins, ties, bugs, magnets and tea towels have been produced and will be on sale at events throughout the year. Foresters Friendly Society have had a number of successful charity partnerships in previous years.
Cheryl Eagleson, the newly elected President of Foresters Friendly Society commented: “AAAC is a fantastic cause, and I am proud Foresters will be supporting them. Our members have a range of fundraising events planned, including a marathon walk round Italy, to raise important funds to help the Air Ambulances across the UK.”
The AAAC is a registered charity, which is designed to funnel national donations into individual air ambulance charities. The partnership between Foresters Friendly Society and the AAAC will have a positive impact on the charities, helping them to continue their life-saving work.
Liz Campbell, Chairman of the AAAC said: “We are absolutely delighted to be selected as the Foresters Friendly Society charity partner and look forward to working with them throughout the year. Air ambulances across the UK will benefit from the funds raised, enabling them to continue their life-saving work and further enhance or develop their services. This is turn will benefit the patient’s they serve within their local communities.”
