A shared meal and conversation over food is where friendships are made — and after all, we are a friendly society. Everyone is welcome to join us for the meal we have after our Court meetings: a relaxed opportunity to learn more about what the Court has been doing and to catch up with familiar faces.
We meet at The Fairfield Arms, which offers a wide range of good-quality, reasonably priced pub food in pleasant surroundings.
Best of all, the meal is provided free of charge for Court 44 members who attend the Court Meeting beforehand. Partners, friends, and non attendees are very welcome to join us on a pay as you go basis.

Court 44 British Lion Court Meeting
Our Court holds regular meetings where our volunteer committee considers and decides on all aspects of Court business. This includes benevolence grants, the care and welfare of members, sponsorships, charitable donations, and—most importantly—ways for members to get involved, including the planning of social events.
All members of the Court are warmly encouraged to attend and take part. We are always pleased to welcome new faces, whether you are interested in joining the committee, observing a meeting, or simply sharing your ideas and views. Although voting is reserved for committee members, our decisions are strongly guided by the opinions and contributions of the wider membership.
Each meeting concludes with a social gathering, giving everyone the chance to relax and enjoy time together over a shared meal. This meal is provided free of charge for Court 44 members who attend the Court Meeting. Partners and friends are very welcome to join us for the meal on a pay-as-you-go basis.

Court Unity 4893 will be holding their Autumn meeting. Location details as below.
All members are welcome to come along and join us. You will be made welcome and able to be involved in the running of the Court and the organisation of events. Refreshments will be made available on arrival from 11.15 p.m. before the start time and sandwiches later. You will then have time to chat and look at your meeting papers before the commencement of the meeting at 11.30 p.m. There is usually an interval in the meeting. At each meeting we discuss social events and fundraising ideas amongst other business, and we finish the evening off with some refreshments and a general catch up.
