Child Trust Fund Top Up
Please Note. We’ve changed the investment strategy for the Order Insurance Fund, moving to lower-risk assets for more stability. This means your returns may be lower in the future. To get the best value from your savings, we recommend exploring other providers with actively managed funds.
You can set up a regular monthly top up from £5 per month, or make a one-off lump sum payment of £50 or more. Please note the money must come from a UK bank account.
The maximum amount of combined contributions (lump sum and monthly payments) paid into a Child Trust Fund account for the current tax year cannot exceed the annual limit of £9,000.

Top up your Child Trust Fund

What will I need to top up a Child Trust Fund online?
- UK bank account name, number and sort code – if you wish to set up a monthly payment
- Your debit card details – lump sum top up payments can only be made via a debit card which must be in your name and linked to a UK bank account
- The child’s details, such as name, date of birth and address
- The Child Trust Fund policy number. This begins with CTFE or CTF0 and can be found on the policy schedule. If you do not have the policy number to hand, please call us on 0800 988 2418 and we’ll be happy to help.

All money paid into the Child Trust Fund should be seen as a gift to the child and as such cannot be refunded.
