However, tuition fees are only one part of the overall cost. Here’s a breakdown of other major expenses students will face in 2025:
- Accommodation: University-provided housing or private rentals are expected to range between £6,000 and £12,000 per academic year, depending on location.
- Living Costs: Food, travel, and other day-to-day expenses could total between £9,000 and £12,000 annually.
- Books & Supplies: Essential study materials may add another £500 to £1,000 per year.
- Additional Costs: Extracurricular activities, internships, and technology can push expenses even higher.

These grants provide financial assistance to help ease the burden of tuition, books, or other associated expenses for students undertaking further education.
Who is Eligible?
The Educational Award is available to members aged 16 and above who have been members of Foresters Friendly Society for at least 12 months and are following, or proposing to follow, a course of higher or further education or training, either full or part-time, leading to a degree or other recognised professional or technical qualification taken at a further educational college or at a university.
