Foresters Friendly Society raises £61,133 for Alzheimer’s Society
Foresters Friendly Society, the member-owned mutual society, has raised £61,133.08p for Alzheimer’s Society, the charity selected for their 2025/26 Annual Charity Appeal.
Over 12 months, Foresters members and staff took part in fundraising activities to raise money and awareness for Alzheimer’s Society, the UK’s leading dementia charity and the only one that combines support services, advocacy, and scientific research to tackle the challenges of dementia head-on.
Gail Lancaster, the Society’s President for 2025/26 commented, “Thank you to everyone who took part in the appeal. I’m so grateful for the support of our members, which is what Foresters is all about. I’ve been inspired by members who have shared their personal stories with me.
Dementia is the UK’s biggest killer, and its impact can be devastating for individuals and families. With the funds raised, Alzheimer’s Society can continue to support people living with and affected by dementia.”
Fundraising activities that took place throughout the year included bungee jumps, treks along the Gower Peninsula, a 982-mile Society challenge, quizzes, gala dinners and more.

Ross Boon, Regional Fundraiser at Alzheimer’s Society, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to everyone at Foresters Friendly Society for their commitment and creativity over the past year.
“Right now, nearly one million people in the UK are living with dementia. The funds raised by Foresters Friendly Society will help us to be there for people affected by dementia through vital support, research and campaigning.
“We simply can’t reach everyone without the continued support of our incredible fundraisers like you. It will take a society to beat dementia.”
